1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as local storage and session storage. In this policy "cookies" refers to all of these technologies.
2. How we use cookies
FundingAtlas uses cookies for two purposes only:
Strictly necessary (always on)
- Authentication — Supabase session tokens stored in your browser so you stay signed in across pages.
- Consent state — a local storage entry (
fa.cookie-consent.v1) that records your choice on this banner. - Security — short-lived tokens used to protect forms and account actions.
These cookies do not require consent under UK PECR because they are strictly necessary to deliver the Service you have requested.
Analytics (optional, consent required)
- Google Analytics 4 —
_ga,_ga_*cookies set by Google to measure aggregate traffic, page views and referrers. We use Google Consent Mode v2 with defaults set to denied; no analytics cookies are set until you select Accept all.
3. We do not use advertising cookies
FundingAtlas does not run third-party advertising and does not set advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies.
4. Managing your choice
You can change your mind at any time by clearing site data for fundingatlas.co.uk in your browser settings. The consent banner will reappear on your next visit.
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies directly through their settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and other core features.
5. Third parties
Where Google Analytics is enabled with your consent, Google processes data as an independent controller for its own purposes. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
6. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the cookies we set or when the law changes. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest revision.
